At the next HPEA pub evening on WEDNESDAY 11 FEBRUARY we are very pleased to welcome as our speaker Christa Scholtz, Scheme Manager of Home Start Westminster, a charity supported in part by Westminster City Council. Home Start Westminster trains volunteers who visit and befriend families in difficulty who have a child under the age of five. Volunteers offer help and support and if necessary refer on to other appropriate services, for example if there is a medical or housing problem. Two of our members are trustees of this charity and they thought you would be interested in hearing more about its important work for vulnerable families in our area.
We will meet as usual in the Upstairs Theatre Bar of the Victoria Pub on Strathearn Place between 6.30 – 8.30pm. Please do come early to have a drink and a chat with other members before the talk starts. Also as anyone who came to our January pub evening will know, seats can be limited!
CYCLE SUPERHIGHWAY FOLLOW UP
As a follow up to our last meeting, which was our most well attended ever, we have been told that the revised East West Cycle superhighway proposals will be published on the Transport for London website in the next few days. New consultation dates have also been published and these have been sent out to members in a separate email.
We hope to see you at the Victoria on 11 February.
