We have been asked to let you know about the following campaign:
“The St. Marylebone Church of England School is helping a new free
boys’ school get off the ground. It is to be called Marylebone Boys’
School and it will address the acute shortage of secondary school
places for boys in our area.
Although we have no formal connection with the new school, we are
working closely with them, and in many ways it will be our “brother
school.” There should be many opportunities for close cooperation in
the future, especially at sixth form level. In order to succeed, the
new school needs signatures for its
petition. If you have boys currently in primary school, in years 4
and 5, we urge you to complete their petition on line at
In our area there is always a lot going on! On our website we would like to give information to members and local residents on events, organisations and facilities which may be of interest – without wanting to duplicate what’s already available on places like the Westminster City Council website, for example. (That’s http://www.westminster.gov.uk/).
If you would like to let us know about something which could be of interest locally, please email the website team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This month’s coffee morning will be held on Wednesday 5 December at 10:30am.
We don’t publicise the venues on our website because these events are held in members’ homes. If you would like to come, you are very welcome – please email email@example.com and we will send you an invitation with all the details.
We understand there may be mince pies….!
Welcome to our new-look website!
We’ve been building it for a little while, as you can see. It should be easy to use and to search for news and other items. As time goes on we’ll be adding more information and news.
Please let us know if there’s anything you would like to see on our site, or you have any recommendations for improvements!
Our Christmas party will be held at the Monkey Puzzle pub, 30 Southwick Street, Sussex Gardens W2 1JQ, on Wednesday 12 December, 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Wines, beers and canapes will be served.
Tickets are £15 per person, or £20 on the door. To book, please contact Sandra Brendlor our social secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org, or download the attached booking form.
